(cask) bright, marked yellow. The bouquet carries the vintage weight, is full, near opulent, has oak grilling, with a syrup, custard aspect within. The palate is dense on the attack, retains that throughout, goes broad and works on its power towards the finish. This is Condrieu for sipping à table, grounded and sunswept. Decant it. There is glow on the aftertaste. It needs careful food pairing – sauced dishes, Escoffier will be OK, with its thick content. €34. From late-2020. 2026-27 Nov 2019

steady yellow robe. Lime and lemon take the lead on the nose, with a ginger snap and apricot backdrop. The palate starts firmly, holds sustained gras which is closely packed in. The finish extends via a smoky, tangy, tobacco-like presence, and a little salted flourish on the aftertaste. This is interesting, elegant wine with a few hidden corners. 14°. 4,000 b. €18 export. 2019-20 Oct 2016

fair yellow robe, legs visible. Crème patisserie, vanilla, honeycomb airs show here – it is a supple and quite generous bouquet. The palate starts with attractive freshness, a true mineral nature to it: there is a classic Condrieu on the table here. There are peach notes in the flavour, floral notes as well. It finishes without hesitation. It is lightly oaked, nothing in excess on that front. Very drinkable, and it ends on some extra weight. 14.5°. €17.13 at cellars, VALUE. 2017-18  Jan 2015

even yellow; the nose combines cooked pear, oak, white raisin – it is rather tangy and directed, shows nut and fennel. The palate sets off fully, with a glazed fruits flavour; there is a gloved punch in it that carries to the finish – it operates on that and is not coy, cosy. The end is firm, like many 2010s, shows a little vanilla, plus hazelnut in that firm aftertaste. Sound Condrieu. 14°. To 2015. Dec 2011

tall bottle: full yellow robe. Has a sweet, melted sugar plus citronelle air that lends breeze to it, spice, creme brulee, and a touch of SO2. The palate holds ripe fruit, the wine comes out on the curve, and its interior is full , nearly fiery, with plenty of charge. The flavour is secondary to its power - the flavour being apricot, peach, with and end of caramel and sweet raisin. Its sweetness is a bit false. Now to end 2010. 13.5 Dec 2008

yellow-tinted robe. Subdued bouquet - buttery, a little lift in it. Ripe fruit with a pungent taste here, shows the late picked crop effect. Rather dry finale. Its richness isn't well set - the wine narrows down in mid-late palate. Uneven, not sure about its balance. April 2006

(cask) apricot/stone fruit nose; ripe fruit, fair gras on palate, skips a bit, oak on end at this early stage.

scented, plush pear/spice aroma; rich, with restraint, oily
