75-100% Syrah (late 1970s, late 1990s), 0-25% Gamay (included in 2018 because the Syrah very, very dense) from west, north facing plots on granite soils at Bogy at 350 metres, mostly destemmed with some whole bunch from macération carbonique, 2 week vinification, pumping overs, vat raised 6-7 months, unfined, unfiltered, 10 mg SO2 at bottling, 9,500-10,000 b


(vat, bottling late March 2020) bright red; there’s intensity in the black cherry air on the bouquet, with licorice, a note of acetate. The palate has a wide, square, backward shape. It holds notes of tar, crushed cherries. It’s not in the zone yet, the fruit is tarry. From late 2020. To 2025 Feb 2020

2018 ()

(vat, bottling Apr 2019) dark red; blackberry, cassis, good fruit on the nose, with licorice, has cool features. The palate has a comfy debut, joli fruit which runs with enough depth for la table. It finishes coolly, roundly, holds good w.o.w. virtues, will please. 75% Syrah, 25% Gamay this year, because the Syrah was "very, very dense". To 2022 Feb 2019

2017 ()

(vat, bottling Apr 2018) shiny dark red-purple colour. The bouquet has crunchy airs, smoky black fruits, shiny blackberry fruit. The palate holds fine, tenacious black fruits with good breeze, grip. There are violet notes also, tender pockets. This is hand made, true wine. Small tannins cluster on the close, the length. Good VALUE at €9. 12.5°. To 2021 Feb 2018
