shiny dark robe; the bouquet wells up in the glass, has a brothy nature, a brewed set of black fruits, prunes included. The palate gives a roll of black fruits with oak vanilla attached, notes of crème de menthe en route. This sustains well to the finish, completes the job well, with vigour and a good amount of juice on the aftertaste. It’s a frank, no holds barred St Jo, good with grills and steaks. It will refine the finish if left for nine months or so. From mid-late 2020, thus, though can be drunk now with grub. 14.5°. 3,500 b. €20. 2028-30 Nov 2019
