2018 ()

dark colour; the nose gives reduction, so allow this to breathe. There is trim black cherry present, a savoury filling, a beef-meat angle. The palate holds dark fruits with sizeable tannins attached, is unsculpted, a series of portions rather than an ensemble. The tannins leave a rather dry imprint, and I wonder where this is going. Try leaving it until 2022, but the finish raises questions. 13°. 2028-30 Nov 2019
