2015

dark red, some matt in the robe. The nose has an air of brewed black fruits, smoky bacon, a little sweetness, is a trifle plain, and less nuanced than many. There is a raw angle to it. The palate bears easy black fruit with a little knot of coarse tannin following it. This struggles to be coherent or polished. It has a ground force towards the finish, a build in chunky matter, there. It can fuse further, so leave until spring 2018. It’s a butty, rugged wine. 2022-23 Oct 2016

2014

full red robe. Reduction is prominent on the nose, ahead of soft, sunny black cherry fruit, a smudge of licorice. The palate holds cool, peppery fruit with a clear run all the way. This is on the Vin Nature side, a bit spritzy (tasted blind); it drinks freely, needs just a little time to be truly well set. The fruit is very enjoyable, w.o.w. in style. Allez! 12.5°. 250 b.
