The Wines

2016

(casks) dark red colour. The bouquet leads on spiced, cooked plums, with some lamb stock surrounding depth and notions of sweet herbs. The palate gives toffee-oak flavours in with its red fruits, produces gummy tannins as it finishes. This is still very raw, and unformed. It builds into a pretty powerful finish, a knuckle of tangy grip there. The oak conflicts a little with its Grenache, so leave until 2021. It’s a cellar-led wine for now. 2030-32 Oct 2017
