60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, destemmed, cool maceration then 20 day vinification at 24-28°C, two part vat emptying/refillings, pumping overs, aged 90% steel vat, 10% new oak casks 8 months, fined, filtered, organic wine

2016 ()

dark red robe. The nose is nice and ample, abundant blackberry with a liqueur style, juicy black cherry and licorice backing it up with some dried herbs notions. There is light reduction. This drinks well on with a quietly aromatic content spice and dusty tannins as it ends, red juice centrally, plums and mulberries. The grainy finish demands food over solo drinking – the food is necessary to soften that grainy close. The juice has a fine quality, to its credit. This has local character. It narrows a shade towards the finish. 13.5°. To 2020 July 2017
