shiny yellow; This has a warm, curvy bouquet that bears the fat of Viognier and Grenache blanc to the fore, pear fruit and notably ripe nectarine. There’s slight reduction, buttery notes, apricot juice and toasting. This drinks with pleasure, holds southern fat and gras, and snippets of oak toasting. The finish is good and clear, goes “ping” on spearmint. The oak asserts a little on the finish for now, leaves tang there. Ideal with scallops. The attack to mid-palate is savoury and delicious, has a note of mango, while the finish is a shade bitter, out on its own - which holds it back from ****. 14°. 2022-23 Aug 2018

light yellow, clear robe. Supple, white jam, banana air – the aroma is fleshy, reductive and lightly spiced. Decant this. The palate has a modern vinification approach: the fruit is clear, the sides show restraint, a nuttiness. It is firm, and needs time. Better from spring 2012. It is discreetly rounded at the end, which is good and accomplished. Suited to fish in sauces, white meats also – has plenty of body. 14°. 2017-18  July 2011

pale, flinty, appealing robe. First stage, young aroma that is a shade reductive, so decant. Tangerine and fennel lurk in the backdrop. Potential for more to come here. The palate is finely textured, has a nutty flavour, grips late on. A food wine with clear cut qualities and reserve. Upright for now, it can evolve, has structure, so there is no hurry. Scented length to it. From spring 2010. 13°. To 2015.  Dec 2009

overtly ripe fruit aroma backed by butter. The palate has a rich, full start – it does most of its running early on, showing sappy white fruits. There is a late smudge of spice and flowers. To 2011. Way better than the last sample. London, October 2007 Previously June 2007 NR the nose lacks clarity – has a yeasty, lactic side. There is the semblance of ripe fruit on the palate, but the flavour isn't very clean. Its core content is quite rich. A wine that is low in acidity, all over the place. Low SO2 use, I wonder? (tasted blind). June 2007
