2007 ()

dark, full robe. The nose is inky, backed by black fruits, cassis foremost: active cellar work has achieved this, a wide bouquet. The palate starts on dark fruits – there is a good gush of nice, juicy flavour. It straightens and picks up some slightly dusty tannin. Lirac with a simmer of power, honestly robust. It ends on pebbly, grainy notes. From mid-2010. 15.5°. 2016 -17  Dec 2009  Previously March 2009 ** dark robe; wide nose – chocolate, cafezinho brasileiro, not fruit. Big scale palate – hard to say what fruit lies here. It delivers more chocolate, prune, spice for sipping cautiously. I see the 15.5°, and shake my head wearily. Wild boar, venison dishes and a camp bed. Bit baked at the end. Not for me, I have to admit. To 2017. March 2011
