dark red; the bouquet has an oily make-up, savoury airs, lamb stock, with notes of pine, firm raspberry fruit lurking. The palate is coated in texture, on a run of red fruits with flexible, wavy tannins. It could be a mite more fresh, has a soupy quality that will allow drinking early, with red meats. The finish is plump, on Grenache red stone fruits. 13.5°. 9,000 b. 42% Gren, 40% Syr, 11% Cins, 7% Mourv. 2026-27 May 2019

red-purple robe. There’s a good swirl of black cherry fruit on the nose, streaks of licorice, hints of dried herbs hovering: it’s a good, bustling start. The palate is well juiced from the off, the texture smooth and rolling, the fruit delivered with gusto. Fine powder tannins emerge on the finish. Rock n’Roll Lirac here, with real drive in the fruit. It’s w.o.w., admirably easy to drink with grills, red meats. There are salted, black olive notes on the finish. There’s great zest in the fruit, smashing it is. 14.5°. From late 2018. 2024-25 Aug 2018
