dark red; grilling, roast pork, sweetness and ripe southern fruit airs appear on the nose, with cosy black cherry fruit. There is a nudge of “high”, reduction. The palate glides with purpose, offers good, streamlined, expressive black fruits, prune and blackberry, with licorice and bite on the finish. This has a little iron in it, and good nerve through it, with oak notes of the finishing moments. It ends full of running – that is an impressive feature. There is commendable finesse on the palate, the tannins fine and high quality also, the balance good. It is suited to a large glass and some cracking beef. 14°. 12,000 b. €8.60 export, €17.50 at the cellars. 70% Gren, 25% Syr, 5% Mourv. From spring 2019. 2028-30 Aug 2018

fairly deep robe that is bright. The bouquet has oily airs, bears black berry fruit that is a shade “high” and animalesque, with an oak-charcoal and tar inlay. The palate is tight from its oaking. The non-Grenache black fruit dominates for now (tasted blind), so the combined effect is a graininess in the generosity of the fruit. Take its time wine that ends roundly and compactly. From mid-2013. for instance. 14°. 2023-24  July 2011

comfortably full robe; tarry, charry front nose – smoky cocoa in behind, bacon fat also – the fruit resembles prune. This all amounts to a cellar, more than vineyard, production for now. The palate is also “dark” – the fruit is firmly textured on the outside with oak pushing that angle, but there is juicy grace on the inside. The fruit is direct, mobile, though there is some gras around it. An arrow rather than a spread blanket, with noticeable oak, so wait. Heat on the finish. From late 2010. 14°. 2020-21 Dec 2009

quite a dark robe; oily, olive, cellar-work influenced bouquet – there are black fruits with a few herbal airs. The palate leads with oak-fused black fruits – the hand of man feel is here; there is a licorice, tar ring to the fruit. This needs to be left until at least 2009 for more interest – it is a touch push button made, but is correct enough. It could have more James Brown soul. Chocolate on the finish from the oak, nothing local. To 2018-20 June 2007
