50-70% Grenache, 30-50% Syrah from stony clay-limestone soils on Les Garrigues, hand harvested, destemmed, crushed, varieties fermented apart, 3 week steel vat vinification at up to 30°-35°C, twice daily pumping overs, 1-2 part vat emptying/refillings, aged 70% 2-8 year 225-litre oak casks, 30% (growing) 2-8 year 450-litre oak casks, fined, filtered, not made in 2014, first vintage 2012, 1,100-2,000 b


very dark; the bouquet has local intensity, a good support of black fruits, tar, licorice. The blackberry appeals. The palate is generous on the attack, rolls with gusto and good levels of persistent matter, the tannins ripe and savoury. This is going great guns, has an oily texture du coin, local notes. dark red colour, black centre. The nose issues a charming sweetness in its blackberry and blueberry fruit, the fruit enticing. The palate runs softly and well, gives enjoyable, tasty black fruits with an in-built sweetness, a relative delicacy. The flavour centres on blackcurrant, blueberry, has good definition. The tannins add a little outer casing to it. This is a rounded, stylish, spherical wine that will please, aided by its cool tenor late on. 2015 ()

red, clear robe. The nose rustles up raspberry fruit, with a rose perfume top note, a little darkness. The palate is charged, compact, fuelled by redcurrant, red cherry fruits with snappy tannins. It can fuse and amplify over time, has substance. The degree is a slight issue vis-à-vis its balance. It has a muscled, close-knit close, with oak sealing it as well. Decanting advised. 15°.
