2017 ()

(casks) dark red colour; has an inky aroma, soaked fruits, raspberry and musk of flowers, is plush in nature. The palate is also musky, has a stone fruit centre, a prune-black raisin twinning that reveals the long sunshine hours. The tannins could be tad more refined, are chewy and a little dry. There are salted touches on the aftertaste. 15°. 60% Gren, 209% Syr, 20% Mourv. From 2021. 2037-39 Oct 2018

2016 ()

(casks) mild red robe. The bouquet is spicy, with cinnamon, cloves, a vegetal note, the backdrop a pretty serene strawberry fruit stemming mainly from the Grenache. There’s a slight pesky, animal side to it. The palate is firmly sealed together, bears crunchy red berry content with dark, smoky tannins, notes of tobacco, mocha on the aftertaste. It’s in a raw state, but can come together, with some lift in its expression, a menthol take in it. There’s a little late glow. Decanting advised. 14.8°. 7,000 b. 60% Gren, 20% Syr, 20% Mourv. €23.90 at the cellars, a rise of €4 in one vintage. From 2021. 2031-33 Oct 2017

(casks) medium depth red robe. Sample is corked. 14.5°. 24,000 b. 60% Gren, 20% Syr, 20% Mourv. €19.90 at the cellars. March 2017

2014 ()

(casks) dark red. Charcoal leads the nose, mild blackberry, supple fruit within, some black cherry. The palate reflects its oaking as well, with the offer of suave content, cassis fruit in the wings. It has the vintage’s lithe, fine nature. It can amplify. It needs to put distance from its oak – the finish is on charcoal for now. 13.5°. 7,500 b. €17.90.  From mid-2017. 2026-27  Dec 2015
