yellow robe; has a peachy, nicely open, buttery aroma, a hint of tangerine, citrus clarity. There are good floral touches on the palate, an interesting mix of white fruits, good gras, which has a nice, quite firm centre. This is good, is for la table. It ends firmly. The generosity of the Viognier is well controlled, has character, is well made. “The Cugnette brings acidity on the close – it used to be in Château Grillet and Condrieu for that purpose,” Simon Gastrein. 13.5°. 13,000 b. €17 at the cellars, a price for a hand made wine.
