2017 ()

bright red; red fruit gum/pastille aroma with a hint of reduction on the nose. The palate kicks off with good, liberal juice, which races around, entertains, has a little late power, builds some tannin. Aromatic red fruit lines it, and it’s good to drink on the up, capturing that upbeat tone. “It’s fruited, elegant,” Anaïs Vallot. 14.5°. Can go to 2024 Feb 2020

2016

(vat, bottling March 2018) healthy red robe. The nose is a live affair, on blackberry, licorice, coffee grains; there is a Nordic breeze in it. The palate leads on active dark red fruits, pebbly tannins behind, still a bit on the outside on the finish. The flavour resembles cherry near the stone, a touch of kirsch. 2011 ()

healthy, shiny dark red. Reduction in a wide, capacious bouquet here – holds raspberry, hedge, brambly berry fruit aromas – there is definite fat in it, the fruit a bit high. The palate delivers curved, not quite gushing red fruit, more a balloon of it. Mild tannin at the end gives an extra wee couch. Mature, later cropped Grenache here, with a note of spirit. It ends on an oily texture. Slight risk it will become bitter as it ages. 13.5°. €3.67 export. 2015-16  Oct 2012

2007 ()

full robe; black fruits with baked airs on the nose - the aromas are coiled up, not yet really pounding the beat. The palate holds stylish black fruits - there is a good southern feel and taste to this. The attack hits the mark. It has good fruit for early drinking, but can be good over time with foods. The flavour reflects blackberry, prune, and there is a local, fresh feel after half way. Low level tannin on the finish. 2010-11. Feb 2009
