bright dark red colour. There is good ping on the nose, crushed nutshells, black cherry, blackberry. There is light reduction from the Syrah, some pork grilling. The palate leads on cosy Grenache fruit, its texture plump, and plenty of gourmand appeal. This is spherical, very rounded wine, all in the moment. It has a fine concentration. The finish is dainty, blueberry with purity, and some salt. This has an interesting, intricate composition, lots of little contributors providing an enhanced whole, a net gain. As suggested on the front label, there is a violet thread on the palate. Day 3: good, full assertion on the finish, black fruits. 14°. 2020-21 Aug 2017
