2017 ()

dark red; the nose is reserved, based around oak, has a relative vintage thickness, fruit density also. The palate is broad and sustained, still making its way, the fruit brewed in style. It breaks out a little towards the finish, which is welcome. There is a thickness that needs to loosen. Low key iron on the close is encouraging. 13.5°. From 2021 or later, decant. 2033-35 Dec 2019

there is a low-key glow in the plum red robe. Airs of raspberry fruit with a coulis style to them come from the nose which is a tiny bit reserved for now, needs coaxing out by decanting. There is also oak present. This has a savoury, fleshy attack, delivers a plump moment and lissom tannins. It holds enjoyable, mild fat. It is rather from the cellar overall with its oaking. 30,000 b. Bottled Jan 2014. 2024-25  March 2015

quite dark red; there are precise airs to the black berry fruit, and a soft undertone of violet - this has an interesting nose. The style is on finesse, restraint - there is a floral current through it, soft tread tannins, and a curved sign-off, expressing roundness and accessibility. Needs a year or so to fine tune its elements. Subtle and well made, with the length oak-marked for now. There is enough matter for the oak. 13°. £22.35 in GB. 2024-26.  Nov 2012

fine red robe. Has a really steady red fruits nose 0 there is good poise in the fruit, a little smoke, and the bouquet circulates freely. The palate is well textured, holds kind red fruit. Oak emerges on the final stages. This has good potential – is up a gear from the Ro-Rée. From 2011. 2017-18. only 11,000 b this year. Nov 2009

2007 ()

mostly red robe, top lightening. Compressed red fruit such as cherry aroma – peppered griottes or soaked cherries with a beef stock, note, a savoury under air. Cocoa flavour, oaked black fruit – this is in thrall to its oak. There is soft style fruit within, in what is an international wine. Less oak = better wine. The oak clamps and tapers the wine. It may emerge, but has no youth to offer drinkers. From 2012 spring. 13°. 2016-17 Nov 2009

fungal/brambly fruit nose; quite plush blackberry at first, then prune, bit taut. Dries fast once opened.  Extraction here. 2005 on. 2010-11
