90% Grenache (late 1940s), 10% Syrah (1983) from sandy, clay-limestone, gravel soils, named after the Louronne stream, 23 day vinification at 30-32°, 4 daily open air pumping overs, part vat emptying/refilling every 2 days, concrete vat raised 5-6 months, unfined, filtered, first wine 2012, converting to organic, 2,500 b


steady red robe; cassis, soaked black cherries air in a strongly fruited bouquet, comes with a wee note of peppermint, is polished. The palate bears sleek blackcurrant fruit, some mulberry lifting it; it works mostly on the attack and front end for now. A modern, upfront wine. Tar, some nuttiness on the finish, which needs to be tidied up. From spring 2015. 15°. Bottled May 2013. 2018-19  Oct 2013
